Fishing a2z and The Brandon Wood Foundation are hosting a Kids’ Fishing Clinic for pre-registered children between the ages of 5 and 12 on Saturday, May 7th, 2022, from 1:00pm-4:00pm.  The organizations will partner with the Paradise Brook Trout Farm. Located in Cresco, PA.

Clinic will be limited to the first 20 children. 

 

The primary purpose of the clinic is to create responsible natural resource stewards by teaching children the vulnerability of Pennsylvania’s ecosystems. 

​

The first hour of instruction will consist of a discussion on the types of fish found in Pennsylvania, fish habitats, safety, equipment, outdoor manners, and protecting our water resources.  Next, various fishing experts will offer tips on tackle and techniques for angling. The fishing lesson will then move to the Paradise Brook Trout ponds where participants will fish for trout with help from Fishing a2z "fishing guides".

The Paradise Brook Trout Co. will provide each attendee with a pole and a container of worms. Each angler will have a 2-fish limit included with attendance with additional fish available for a fee.  Children do not need a permit to fish. As a final bonus, each child will leave with a brand-new tackle kit.
